Overview

Paranet is the best professional organization for managers of manufacturing companies.  The Paranet Group's members are committed to helping each other. Learn how to improve yourself, your staff and your operations. Paranet is a source of experienced managers sharing what they have done right, what they have done wrong, and what has worked for them!

We organize our membership into peer groups or mini-Advisory Boards.  As a member of an Advisory Group, members provide each other with honest feedback on issues and challenges they face.

A Paranet Membership is a process that allows members the ability to learn how to make change happen as quickly as possible, to network with others than can help on specific issues and challenges and to see other companies' operations. 

Meeting in a confidential forum, members share their experiences on what worked well for them, as well as things that didn't work.  There is no need to reinvent the wheel.

With the exception of the personal Advisory Group, members can have their management teams participate in all the activities of Paranet through the Corporate Access Program.  This is a tremendous value as there are between 30 and 40 events each year geared to improving culture, people and operations. 

• Advisory Groups - Paranet is organized into groups. Groups are formed by peer levels, company size, topic and function. Groups meet on an on-going basis in a confidential forum to exchange ideas and help each other attain goals. Each group is facilitated by a personal Group Director who also acts as a member's mentor and coach. Groups consist of approximately 12-15 members.
• Lean Assessment -Just how lean are you? Members have designed an assessment tool to help members determine just how lean their organization is. Performed by fellow peer members, members can measure and benchmark themselves against other Paranet members.
• Database Research -Paranet's customized database enables you to source specific companies and executives who have faced or are facing issues that are important to you. Poll our database for trends on what's hot in manufacturing. Interest and Experience Surveys are conducted constantly to keep information current. What would you like to know?
• Paranet Partners -The Paranet Group is an excellent source for trainers and consulting experts in all areas. Our manufacturing members tell us who they have used and we file that information into our database making it available for others. So, if you are interested in strategic planners to facility movers, we can tell you who our membership used and let you hear about the experts first hand. • Speaker Meetings -From time to time members get together with recognized, national experts to learn ways to improve their skills and operations. Speakers like Donn Novotny (the real life Alex Rogo in the book, The Goal) and John Brandt, Editor in Chief from IndustryWeek Magazine, have recently met with our members. Who have you recently heard?
• Problem Solving -Are you going through change and want to talk with other manufacturers? Looking for help on a topic that is challenging you? Would you like to tour a manufacturing facility?
• Significant Interest Events -These events are created to focus on specific topics or issues proposed by the membership. What issue or project are you working on?
• Plant Tours -One of our most exciting benefits is the ability to see other manufacturing plants. These are not your typical customer/supplier tours, but real hands on tours where the hosting facility would like some honest and constructive feedback. We tour hundreds of facilities each year. The possibilities are limitless. Where do you want to go?
• Surveys -From time to time members have an opportunity to participate in or initiate a survey for benchmarking purposes. If you are interested in participating in these activities, just let us know.
• Employment Opportunities -Post openings in your facility or look for a position. This informal network allows members to job search in an anonymous environment.
• Paranet Executive Transition Group -This group is for members who are in an active job search. Members come together to share leads, give support and provide feedback to each other. Members in a job search can remain in their peer group, attend events and stay active in The Paranet Group.
